Happy Chinese New Year! It’s the Year of the Tiger.
It’s I Love to Read month so visit your local library branch to borrow books and more! Library cards are free so make it a monthly tradition. Visit the new River Heights branch on Grant.
If you are thinking about going on a Spring Break holiday in or outside Manitoba, you should book it now.
The Winter Olympics begin today in Bejing China. Tune in to your TV to watch all the action.
Learn to Ice Fish! Prairie Gal Fishing offers one-on-one ice fishing lessons in Gimli or at FortWhyte Alive and include all electronics, gear and bait
Take the family for a walk or skate down the River Trail starting at the Forks or Wellington Crescent at Hugo. There are places to sit and put on skates. So much fun to see happy faces enjoying themselves
The Children’s Museum hosts Mini Mondays if they are open this month. It is a special time for preschoolers and their caregivers. Theme-based activities between 10 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. Storytime at 11:00 and 1:00
Build a snow person or snow fort in your front or backyard with the kids today. Kids love it when parents get outside with them to work on a project
Consider adopting a furry friend from a local rescue or the Humane Society. Be sure your family is ready for the responsibility.
Pull out a puzzle and set it up on a table where the family can work on it together. Puzzles teach patience and persistence.
Plan a Friday Game Night for your family. Play games you will all enjoy and set aside all screens to catch up on everyone’s week and have fun together.
Check in with your childrenís teachers to make sure this semester is going OK and your child is not struggling. Itís important to get help if needed.
Visit the Manitoba Museum if it has re-opened this month. So much to see and do! Why not purchase a family membership for unlimited visits. See back page of PDF version for details
