Winter 2025

Winter weather in Winnipeg has been exceptionally wonderful!

I hope that you and your family had the opportunity to be outside on those ‘balmy’ days! My family built a snowman, that lost its nose in our last round of nice weather, and we have tried our best to be out walking as much as possible.:

This issue of Winnipeg Parent has fun suggestions to make the most of these last months of winter (fingers crossed) and how to get ready for spring break with healthy snacks and safe travel tips.

From toddler to teens, there is something here for every age.

  • Is this the month that your toddler takes their next step and starts to crawl? Read how to make this milestone fun and encouraging for everyone. They will be moving in no time!
  • Are you concerned about screen time and a teen that’s attached to their device? If you already have a tween or teen, we have tips, from a teen herself, on how to better connect.

Read on for a fun interview with a Lego designer, healthy conversations around eating, the benefits of reading with your child, information on STEM classes, and how to deal with a coaching problem if your child is in sports. It’s all here for you in this issue winter issue of Winnipeg Parent.

Enjoy more snow time! We look forward to meeting back up with you for our Spring Issue.
