Hands up…. how many of you are excited to get back into routine?
Into Fall sweaters and boots? Ready to make school lunch each day?
I am! I love this time of year. Mostly for the Fall sweaters and boots…. but also, for the routine, a new day timer and the excitement from kids for the first day of school. It brings back those feeling from my back-to-school days. The anticipation of what will this next grade be like. Will I like my teachers? Who will I play with at recess and who will I sit with at lunch?
These are some of the very things you can read about in this back-to-school Scoop. Keeping routines, suggestions for preparing an endless number of school lunches, and being overall ready to have your kids hit the books for another year.
Before all that begins next week, we have the long weekend to look forward to! If you are looking for something fun and entertaining for your little ones, join Winnipeg author, Laurie Robin, for a book reading of her kids’ book “I Want to Be You” and take-home goodies this Saturday at Indigo. It’s a great story and a great message for everyone to take away.
Wishing you a long weekend full of fun and family time, and a successful back-to-school time next week!
