April 2025

Happy Spring Break!

None of us should be surprised by snow in April – let’s embrace it this one LAST time!

I hope you’re finding ways to enjoy the beauty of our winter wonderland, and that you and your family are taking full advantage of this week away from school (Spring “Break”). There are so many activities, events and attractions on offer in our city and province, that you always have options when it comes to the often-uttered phrase, “I’m bored…”.

This month, The SCOOP touches on a wide range of topics including:

• Moving house with your children;

• Identifying and addressing potential language issues with our young children; and

• The powerful connections between horses and people.

And, if you find that you just need even more Winnipeg Parent, please check out our new Spring 2025 Deluxe issue, in print around the city, or online at winnipegparent.com.

So grab your hot cocoa, snuggle in, and let’s make this spring break unforgettable!

Fast forward to kindergarten, a lot of stressful situations, and the kindergarten hearing screening test. It was here that we learned that she had only 20 percent hearing. This answered so many questions! (Read more)
