November 2024

WOW! We have been lucky to have a wonderful fall season.

The colours, the weather and those northern lights! Did anyone else forget about Daylights Savings Time and go the entire day an hour ahead?! The bonus to the extra hour is you now have a little extra free time to check out this issue of THE SCOOP!

In this issue:

  • Learn more about to keep your kids safe in sport. From recognizing hazing to understanding the signs of an unsafe situation, Sport Manitoba leads you through how to take steps if something doesn’t feel right.

  • Self-Regulation is an important skill from toddlers to teens to adults. Active for Life contributor Jim Grove helps walk you through how to recognize behaviours and help kids stay focused and control behaviour through self-regulation.

  • Looking for something new to do – visit the Children’s Museum this month to see the new MOO MISSION interactive exhibit. This creative and fun exhibit is in collaboration with the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba and provides a creative way for kids and adults alike to learn about the importance of farming in your community.

Do you have something interesting and informative you would like to contribute to our next newsletter or Winnipeg Parent newsmagazine? We would love to hear from you. Send us your idea and contact information to winnipegparent@bouncedesign.com.

Have a fabulous Fall and enjoy November!
